An Oasis of beauty

I've been away from the ocean for far too long now that my feet are craving the shorelines.
Instead,
I find myself grabbing hold of the dry earth with my toes.
Wandering through an oasis of beauty, smelling orchids, photographing clay stepping stones & getting lost on a wave of music notes from the songs coming from the palms.
I grow wild out here.
Untouched.
My heart soars.
I'm there,
still,
listening.
As I bite into a mango, the juices run down my thumb
then to my wrist
at the time, I was distracted
the sun
perfectly aligned with a milky-face, rosy cheeked hibiscus.
Beads of the early showers still lingered on its' delicate petals
Transparent
almost.

So incredible! It looks like such an amazing little hideaway. Beautiful writing as well. I find myself craving the ocean as well but when I'm in nature by body is happy to connect to the world around me.
ReplyDeleteI went there when I was so young with my Grandad. I would love to go back!
ReplyDeleteLouann, what a great place, it's a very historical place and the colors of the flowers are beyond beautiful, I don't think I have the words for them... I too love the ocean, I live near a few but I don't get to it nearly often enough... this summer I plan to get out more often xox
